Program Highlights
A bachelor's degree in bioengineering from UIC prepares students for a variety of occupations, graduate programs and professional programs. Students complete a challenging selection of courses that provide a broad understanding of engineering and biology. Opportunities for independent study are common, and each senior participates in a yearlong senior design project.
Accelerated BS/MS program
UIC's Bioengineering program offers an accelerated Master of Science track that benefits UIC Bioengineering undergraduate students. The time to the MS degree can be significantly shortened, often to only two semesters beyond completion of the BS. More information is available here.
GPPA Information
The GPPA program allows a limited number of first-year students per year to be admitted to UIC with guaranteed admission to the Master's degree program in biomedical engineering. Students follow a specific curriculum and meet established performance criteria to maintain guaranteed admission.
