Overview

All undergraduate applications require submission of the nonrefundable application fee or selection of an applicable waiver in order to submit the application.​

  • First Year applicants are eligible for CommonApp fee waivers in addition to the waivers noted below.
  • Fee waivers are only accepted for domestic applicants. We do not offer application fee waivers for international applicants at this time.
  • Readmission applicants are not assessed the application fee.
  • Waivers based on UI enrollment or employment are verified by Admissions staff.
  • Payment of application fees cannot be deferred

Waivers

Available waivers for undergraduate applicants:

  • Current University of Illinois employee (with at least 50% appointment)
  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC)
  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at the University of Illinois Springfield (UIS)
  • Illinois Veteran's Grant (IVG) recipient
    • Upload of the IVG letter is requested in the application.
  • Zero EFC (Expected Family Contribution)
