Management

At UIC, students in our management program develop essential skills and knowledge to become industry leaders. To prepare students for business leadership, we ensure students:

• Communicate ideas effectively orally and in writing
• Know organizational theories and models of management
• Understand the relevance of organizational structure and change for goal achievement
• Master the political, social, economic, regulatory, and international environments of business
• Realize importance of ethics and social responsibility in business
• Understand the relationship of leadership, motivation, attitudes, group dynamics, and organizational culture in organizational behavior
• Know how to attract, motivate, and retain employees
• Have a foundation in marketing, accounting, finance, business statistics and management information systems
