Educational Goal

Preprofessional educational goals are curricula designed for students who intend to pursue their undergraduate or graduate education at University of Illinois professional schools. Preprofessional educational goals are complementary to degree programs, and students must apply as undeclared or to a specific degree program.

GPPA Option

The highly competitive GPPA program allows a limited number of first year students per year to be admitted to UIC with guaranteed admission to UIC's MD program in the College of Medicine.  Students follow a specific curriculum and meet established performance criteria to maintain guaranteed admission.

Common Majors

Educational goals must be completed with an undergraduate major. Common majors for Premedicine include (but are not limited to): Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Integrated Health Sciences, and Kinesiology.
