Late Application Process
Undergraduate applicants who missed the deadline to apply may submit a petition requesting permission to apply late. Please note: not all petitions will be accepted.
Important Reminder
Approval of a late application petition means you may submit an application after the deadline - it does not guarantee admission.
First-Year (Freshman) Applicants
- Create a Common Application account.
- Add University of Illinois Chicago to your "My Colleges" list.
- You must have UIC listed before submitting your petition.
- Once added, complete and submit the Late Application Petition.
Transfer Applicants
You may either:

- Submit the Late Application Petition first, then wait to proceed with your application
Additional Information
When completing the petition, please include:
- For First Year applicants: your Common Application ID number
- Your intended college at UIC (refer to academic programs online)
- Optionally, upload unofficial transcripts and test scores (if available)
